Thank you for your interest in our Trophy Hunting campaign, calling on MPs to attend the Second Reading of the Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill on Friday 25 November 2022.
The more presence and support by our MPs at these readings means that greater strides may be made to help protect the wild animals that are killed for hunting trophies every year.
After campaigning for a ban on the import of hunting trophies for years, we are delighted that the Trophy Hunting (Import Prohibition) Bill successfully passed to Committee stage after its Second Reading on 25 November.
Committee stage is where detailed examination of the Bill takes place. Amendments (proposals for change) for discussion are selected by the chairman of the committee and only members of the committee can vote on amendments during committee stage.
